Gallery To Hold Reception in Honor of Guest Instructor

Sunset River Marketplace art gallery in Calabash, N.C. will host a reception for Sterling Edwards on Wednesday, August 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Edwards, who lives in Hendersonville, N.C., is a well-known watercolor artist, author and instructor, who recently began painting large expressionist abstracts in acrylic. He is coming to Sunset River to conduct one of his rare abstract acrylic workshops, which will take place from August 15 to 19.

Edwards has been featured in Watercolor Magic magazine was elected as a signature member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour. His book, “Creating Luminous Watercolor: a Four-Step Process” was published in 2010 by Northlight Books.

The public is invited to the event. Light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served. There is no admission charge.
