Jeffcoats Teach Pottery Class at Folk School
08/31/12

Two of our clay artists, Tonda and Joe Jeffcoat, owners of Jeffcoat Pottery, just outside Calabash, recently returned from teaching a week-long pottery class at John C. Campbell Folk School. In the class, entitled Pottery Passion, the Jeffcoats taught hand-building and wheel-throwing for beginning and intermediate level adults.

John C. Campbell Folk School, founded in 1925, is located in the NC mountains at Brasstown. Nestled on 300 acres in a valley about 7 miles from Murphy, N.C., the Folk School offers a residential learning experience in traditional crafts for adults from all over the United States. The week-long and weekend classes are hands-on and seek to encourage individual creativity and expression.
