Please click image or link for more info.
Miriam Pinkerton will be leading an encaustic workshop at Sunset River Marketplace in Calabash on November 1st and 2nd. Encaustic goes as far back as the 5th century BC. It is composed of beeswax and resin and is the most durable of all artist's paints. It is stable from 35 to 110 F. It's exquisite visual properties make it perhaps the most beautiful paint ever know. It is so versatile that over the last 50 years, it has achieved popularity as an unusual alternative to oil and acrylic paints.
