Kent had his start in photography in the early 50`s where he supplied many of the Carolina newspapers with a variety of human interest and news photos from his home in Southport. He then moved to New Jersey and worked with a local newspaper that covered the New York, New Jersey metropolitan area. His assignments with the newspaper had him personally photographing many celebrities such as President Nixon, Dr Joyce Brothers and several New York Giant`s players. Since retiring to Little River in the earily 90`s he has concentrated on photographing local scenes.
