Artist: Roberta Rotunda
Medium: Oil Paintings

My husband and I moved from Connecticut to Longs, SC in 2001 for retirement. Before the move, I worked for a company’s advertising department for over 24 years. Along with many other responsibilities, I ventured into photography, processing and printing photos in a dark room, plus designing and producing slide shows for worldwide company presentations. At that point, I knew I was destined for the art world. Two years before our move, a photo from my youngest son inspired me to pick up a brush and be creative. Painting became a new vision for me that turned into a true passion. Once in South Carolina, I joined local art associations and attended workshops and classes to pursue and share my creative work with others and to bring as much joy into their world as it has into mine. I have studied with local artists including Mary Griffith, Susan Duke and Jim Horton. Much of my work has sold or is currently on exhibit at Sunset River Marketplace. In addition, I have had several commissions including one for then Connecticut’s Chief Forensic Examiner, Dr. Henry Lee, a watercolor entitled "Evening at Peace". In 2009, Sasee Magazine presented one of my works on their front cover. One thing I have learned is "Never Stop Learning!"
