The subject of my work ranges from baskets, totes, boxes, and pails. The commonality between all is the reference to utility. The non-functional work encourages the viewer to look past the objects as just utilitarian, and see the formal beauty within the objects. I encourage the use of my functional pieces; this may be pouring cream from a pitcher or the act of sitting on a shelf and adding presence to a collection.
